Dengue fever is one of the contagious viral diseases spread through the mosquito
bite. The female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes thrive in stagnant water of
surroundings and become the carriers of the virus. The disease is characterized
by mild to high fever, headache, joint and muscle pains and
rashes.
Mosquitoes are annoying at the least and they can disrupt our
enjoyment when we spend time outdoors. For people in warm, sunny countries, the
number of mosquitoes is higher so they are more prone to mosquito
bites.
Once a person has contracted herpes or cold sores the virus will
remain in the body in a latent (inactive) state in the central nervous
system.
When the virus reactivates (wakes up), it travels up the nerve
paths to the surface of the skin and causes a cold sore outbreak.
Most of
these insects are active at night because they are some what allergic to
sunlight. Warm weather is another factor that causes this bugs to be more active
and much likely to have physical contact with humans. They are usually found in
messy areas of the house like kitchen, garage and the garden.
These
insects are very attracted to children, especially to infants due to their sweet
scent and pure blood. Parents should watch out for the following insects and the
dangerous illnesses they can incur among kids by just touching and biting their
skins.
A little more out of the ordinary was the application of clear
nail polish which is supposed to really take the irritation out of the
itch.

There are
many products available commercially which can also help you in preventing
mosquito bites: such as mosquito repellent creams which are very effective and
scented too. Its main drawback is its oiliness.
Some can use scented
lamps to kill or keep away from their area of action. The main problem is its
less area of action. The magnet light is very effective but costly too. It
evolves carbon dioxide which attracts mosquitoes and then traps them to
death.
To keep flies away, put out bowls of fresh orange and lemon peels
mixed with cloves powder. Flies also dislike the scent of lavender, eucalyptus
or cedar.
